Definition of 'verbal bullying': using words in a negative way such as insults, teasing, put downs, etc., to gain power over someone else's life.
Why talk about it?
The reason that we should talking about this, is because with every word that comes out of a persons mouth can impact on others' lives severely. Even if its playing around, joking about what you're saying- don't because have the word or sentence leaves your mouth, it can put people in a mood that they wouldn't like. Words get thrown out there like 'you're fat', 'go die!', 'ugh, she's such a fake bitch', and 'Eww he's homo!' can mentally hurt a person, and emotionally scare them. Its very crucial that if we see someone saying that, don't be a bystander and do something before anything could happen, and speaking out to the person can affectingly help them in ways than one.
Preventing verbal bullying
We are a group of people who think that verbal bullying is serious subject that involves many children and teenagers these days. The purpose of this blog is to cause awareness amongst parents, victims or even bullies of how serious verbal bullying is in order to stop or prevent it. Our goal is to help the countless people who are going through verbal bullying because it is never an easy thing to go through. We would like to demonstrate the consequences and effects on victims. We will also give advice and solutions for those who need it and let them know that they are not alone and that it gets better.
